Supply Chain Optimization Manager



  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required
  • In addition, two - three years’ applicable experience
  • Excellent writer, preferred experience writing SOPs
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Purchasing
  • Experience in SAP MM and CBase a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail with good time management skills
  • Proficiency in computer systems and MS Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite

Role Purpose Statement:  The job incumbent is responsible for executing supply chain activities related to procedural document development as well as training development. Conducts data analysis for financial reporting and improvements of our supply chain processes, specifying any gains in efficiencies or cost reduction

Key Interfaces: Internal: SCO Managers, SCO Analysts, Materials Managers, Procurement, Finance, LPS, HR and OVC External: Suppliers and Customers

Main Accountabilities

Business Strategy, Policies, and Tools

  • Administering policies and procedures that have been implemented in Supply Chain and ensuring that these are reviewed or updated accordingly to global standards
  • Oversee the development of needed tools and data to consistently report Supply Chain performance measures across all CSCs

Supply Chain

  • Key member of the Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) team leading the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other technical reporting
  • Facilitate procedural document workgroups, authoring, reviewing, editing and quality control of documents, identification and assignment of training
  • Ensures SOP formatting is in compliance with Global guides and templates and there is consistency in application of technical abbreviation and acronyms, figure callouts and captions
  • Maintain and support regulatory compliance standards and corporate initiatives such as United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Global Quality Standards (GQS), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Lean Manufacturing
  • Collaborates with programs such as the Academy of Excellence teams in various CSCs, ensuring tools and documentation is available for operational use
  • Evaluate the supply chain training curriculum/modules and identify opportunities for continuous training development and creative teaching techniques
  • Analyze supply chain data such as spend tracking, food cost, days on hand, APW or compliances and root cause issues and resolve including suggestive improvements
  • Plan implementation of processes for materials planning and forecasting mid to long term with the SCO project team and report out new model and measures
  • Assessment of demand planning methods in CSCs and consumption trends of materials and develop relevant data measures
  • Integrate updated analytical tools/data into financial controlling and performance reporting between CSCs and corporate
  • Supports analysis of supply chain operational metrics and participates in redefining any updates or in any adherence measures required 


  • Act as the primary contact on SOP writing and immediate updates required
  • Lead in the training development of supply chain process
  • Provides analytical support for the given processes and projects
