Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • One to three years of payroll experience required
  • Knowledge of ETime and /or ADP Enterprise systems is preferred
  • Experience with inputting and following up on Time and Attendance & Payroll processing functions

Role Purpose Statement:  To support the HDQ and Field operations with Time & Attendance and Payroll processing activities on a weekly basis. This includes edit reconciliation and daily follow up, no hours reporting, unclaimed wages, garnishments, pay code adjustments, payroll deductions and general hours control reporting requirements.

Key Interfaces: : (internal, external) Internal: CSC and HDQ HR departments, Accounting, Treasury, All Employees (union and non-union) External: ADP, regulatory agencies, & state agencies

Main Accountabilities

  • Support HR/Finance at HDQ and CSCs by performing payroll transaction processing and identifying and correcting discrepancies in employee/payroll data; create reports to communicate audit findings and follow-up on root-cause analysis and resolution
  • Track error issues
  • Review, file, maintain and audit payroll and time and attendance records;
  • Ensure accurate and timely coordination of payroll processing
  • Provide required data to ADP to process weekly/bi-weekly payroll for 100% of the employee base
  • Process garnishment data to and from ADP; provide feedback for process improvement
  • Research and resolve garnishment escalated issues
  • Perform accurate compliant tracking, reporting, and analysis of unclaimed wages
  • Participate in auditing and processing year-end W2s
  • Assist in documenting process flows, identifying areas of improvement, and developing and documenting Payroll Department policies and procedures
  • Work with HDQ, CSCs and ADP service team to provide guidance, paycheck analysis, report interpretation, and troubleshooting for payroll related inquiries
  • Ensure Payroll Internal Compliance with company policies through reporting and communication of findings
  • Provide payroll support by answering non-routine questions through research and collection of factual data to include union issues, employment taxes (rates and deductions) for different states payroll related issues
  • Research and provide data for income/verification requests from regulatory and state agencies
  • Assist in the areas of ADP-Enterprise change communications, training, security access requests or changes and reconciliation of direct deposit reject notices and pay card issues
