Kitchen Utility (dishwasher)



The employee is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the employee to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.

Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with supervisors and other employees.

Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by building environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F), for one hour or more with protective clothing.

Must be able to perform work using required PPE (personal protective equipment) including but not limited to protective gloves, cooler/freezer gloves, hot mitts, cut resistant gloves, protective aprons, protective goggles, hearing protection, slip resistant footwear and all required PPE.

Must be able to work up to 8 hours in the Halal kitchen at a temperature of 36°F with protective clothing.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.   Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.


Remove dirty items from carts, carriers and ovens. Sort recyclables, trash and equipment. Wash and stage equipment in designated areas. Utility is also responsible for general and deep cleaning of interior and exterior of the kitchen. 

Break down tray set up lines. Load and unload dish machine. Sort carts and carriers. Maintain equipment in a clean and organized manner
