Production Planning Supervisor


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five plus years of management / operations experience in the transportation field required
  • Possess the proven ability to coach and mentor employees
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Highly proficient computer skills including MS Office preferred, advanced excel

Role Purpose Statement:   This is a leadership position responsible for supervising department production and associates to achieve Customer Service Center (CSC) performance goals

Managing Business


  • Oversee planning of the flight departure flows to ensure FIFO (first in first out) process
  • Analyze flight traffic flow and make necessary adjustments
  • Accountable for development of shift activity charts as well as manpower scheduling, planning, and management
  • React to and resolve issues quickly that may arise, making decisions while maintaining composure
  • Supervise daily productivity to ensure most efficient and profitable model is being utilized to run the operation
  • Ensure on-time delivery from multiple departments to keep operations running smoothly throughout the day
  • Interface directly with external and internal customers to build a solid working relationship
  • Understand work flow and coordinate planned production six to eight hours in advance
  • Coordinate with department team to achieve budgeted performance, understand variances and participate in constructing and executing appropriate corrective action plans



  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
  • Guide, motivate and develop the directly and indirectly subordinate employees
  • Be a role model for department and CSC through loyalty, honesty, intellect, commitment, presence, communication, and behavioral example
  • Plan, implement and control the cost and project budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
