SPIRIANT designer mentors university students
This summer Daniel Knies, Director Design at SPIRIANT GmbH mentored students from the Hochschule für Gestaltung (University of Art & Design) Offenbach am Main, Germany, in a project to develop new inflight service concepts. The project was set up to proactively encourage sustainable service product ideas, which can lead to further product development and commercialization in the future.
The students, under Daniel’s mentorship, presented their concepts at a special innovation day and later received feedback from one of our top customers and senior management from SPIRIANT and LSG Sky Chefs. The day culminated with a small evening reception hosted by the University.
This is the SPIRIANT Design Studio’s fourth such collaboration with a design university and a great way to stretch conventional service thinking and gather new ideas to shape the direction and future of the onboard experience.
