March 9, 2018

Neu-Isenburg, Germany – Erdmann Rauer has been re-appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG (LSG Holding) for another five years. The company’s Supervisory Board extended his contract ahead of schedule through December 31, 2023.

Erdmann Rauer has been leading the LSG Group in his current position since October 1, 2014. Among his accomplishments, he has initiated a comprehensive transformation of the company’s business model in order to proactively deal with the volatile market environment and make the company sustainably profitable. The strategic integration of Retail inMotion, a digital start-up specializing in the increasingly important onboard-retail programs, was a key prerequisite for enhancing the LSG Group’s competencies and redefining the company’s market leadership in a future-oriented manner. Other cornerstones of that effort include the realignment of the production and logistics landscape in Europe, as well as the expansion of the portfolio with convenience retail products and services for train operators.

Erdmann Rauer joined the LSG Group in August 2006 and has been a member of the LSG Holding Executive Board since January 1, 2011. Previously, the 51-year-old held a number of leading positions in sales, marketing and logistics at GKN Walterscheid, the world’s leading supplier of agricultural drive and cultivation systems.

The LSG Group is the world’s leading provider of end-to-end onboard products and services for the travel industry. It possesses a strong portfolio of independent expert brands: LSG Sky Chefs (catering and hospitality, including lounges), Retail inMotion (onboard retail), SPIRIANT (onboard equipment) and Evertaste (convenience food). The LSG Group is headquartered in Neu-Isenburg, near Frankfurt, Germany. In 2017, its almost 35,000 employees achieved consolidated revenues of EUR 3.2 billion. Additionally, the LSG Group has a rich network of joint ventures and partnerships partners around the globe, employing more than 20,000 staff and generating non-consolidated revenues of EUR 1.3 billion.
