SPIRIANT Sweeps International “Good Design” Awards

Brand recognized around the world for its innovative concepts in 2013

Neu-Isenburg, Germany – LSG Sky Chefs’ equipment and logistics subsidiary SPIRIANT was honored with the prestigious “Good Design” award for four different products at the 2013 “Good Design Awards” competition in Chicago. SPIRIANT’s SLOT tray and SLOT tableware, Lufthansa bread basket, Lufthansa salt & pepper shakers and Lufthansa Berlin Gourmet Box stood out against product designs from several thousand companies from 48 nations to take home the historic design prize, which originated in 1950.

The recent awards join other top SPIRIANT design achievements in 2013, among them inclusion in the German Design Council’s 60th anniversary book, “The Major German Brands,” which showcases “design-oriented, sustainably successful companies.” SPIRIANT’s SLOT tray and ergonomically-minded “Leaves” tableware set were profiled in the book, which catalogues the top 100 German Design Brands.
