LSG Sky Chefs Takes Full Ownership in Oakfield Farms Solutions
Neu-Isenburg, Germany / Irving, Texas, U.S. LSG Sky Chefs, the worlds largest provider of quality in-flight catering, announced today that it has acquired the remaining shares in Oakfield Farms Solutions (OFS), based on the 51 percent shareholding established in 2009.
OFS represents a one-stop shop for innovative and tailor-made shelf-stable meal-box solutions for various airlines. The supply chain includes design, sourcing, assembly, manufacturing, packaging, sales and distribution of the products.
The OFS business model builds on the know-how and experience of the companys founder Harvey Alpert and was established in 1994 to fill a niche for shelf-stable snacks in the airline industry. At the same time, LSG Sky Chefs has extended the management service agreement with Harvey Alpert to maintain continuity of service and relationships.
The Oakfield Farms portfolio ideally complements our customer offering and has significantly contributed to our success over the past years, says Dennis Sadlowski, COO North America Region. We thank Harvey Alpert for the great cooperation and look forward to continue working with him and his team to further grow this business within the framework of the new agreement.
