LSG Sky Chefs Grows in Convenience Retail Business
Extension of Contract with Circle K in the U.S.
Irving, Texas, U.S. / Neu-Isenburg, Germany – LSG Sky Chefs has acquired new business with Circle K in the Phoenix, Arizona, and Santa Ana, California, markets in the United States.
For more than 60 years, Circle K has been one of North America’s most popular and successful convenience-store chains with roughly 8,000 stores across the U.S. and over 7,000 international locations. Phoenix is Circle K’s biggest fresh-food market.
In addition to the 112 stores LSG Sky Chefs currently serves in Charlotte, North Carolina, 40 in Denver, Colorado, and Atlanta, Georgia, the company will be delivering to an additional 614 in the Phoenix metro area and eventually 300 in the Santa Ana market. This collaboration will entail product introductions, including salads, sandwiches and wraps for their Circle K Made-to-Go brand, totaling 2.5 million units per year. Products will be delivered from LSG Sky Chefs’ Santa Ana, Orange County, customer service center and its stand-alone retail facility in Phoenix. Both locations will be USDA-certified. The Phoenix facility is also currently under evaluation to complete its BRC (British Retail Consortium) certification.
