LSG Sky Chefs extends Joint-Venture in Hangzhou, China
Hangzhou, China/ Neu-Isenburg, Germany – LSG Sky Chefs has extended its joint-venture agreement with Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport Co., Ltd and Hangzhou Airport Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd by another 10-year term, running through June 2026.
Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport LSG Air Catering Co., Ltd, has been operating at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport since 2001. Today it caters for domestic and international airlines, including United Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Dragonair, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. 430 employees produce almost 30,000 meals per day.
Hangzhou is located 200 kilometers (130 miles) southwest of Shanghai. It is the capital and most populous city of the Zhejiang Province in eastern China. Hangzhou has been one of the most popular and prosperous cities in the country for much of the last millennium, due in part to its beautiful natural scenery. The city’s prefecture had a registered population of more than 9 million in 2015.
Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is the primary international airport in Hangzhou and was ranked 10th in terms of passenger traffic in China, with a turnover of 28.4 million in 2015.
