LSG Holding sells LPS Event Catering GmbH
Portfolio adjustment and focus on core business continued
Neu-Isenburg – LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG has sold its wholly-owned subsidiary LPS Event Catering GmbH (Lufthansa Party Service / LPS) to Ullrich Eckert, Managing Director of the company. With this sale, LSG further emphasizes its strategic focus on its core business, airline catering.
LPS offers party and event catering services to customers on a national and international scale. Every year, LPS organizes and hosts more than 1,500 events for about 600,000 guests. The company has been successful for nearly 40 years. Through its subsidiary LSG Event GmbH, LPS also operates gastronomical outlets in three locations: “Wintergarten Varieté” in Berlin, “Roncalli’s Apollo Varieté” in Düsseldorf and “Jahrhunderthalle” in Frankfurt.
Ullrich Eckert is confident that this transaction forms the basis for a profitable continuation of the business: “With this purchase, and with the help of a motivated and professional team, we have the chance to establish ourselves even more successfully and more creatively in the market.” Eckert has been leading LPS for more than 15 years, most recently as its Managing Director.
Within the scope of the sale, Eckert has gained the right to use the brand names “Lufthansa Party Service” and “LSG Event” through the end of 2008. A confidentiality agreement has been signed to not discuss any price issues or other modalities of the contract.
