The LSG Group Presents Its Integrated Service Approach at InnoTrans

Train Catering is increasingly becoming a differentiating factor for the company

Neu-Isenburg, Germany – Under the slogan “Indulge your passengers with an enriched customer experience,” the LSG Group will be present at InnoTrans, the world’s leading transportation technology trade fair, which will be held in Berlin on September 18-21, 2018 for the fourth consecutive time.

The European train market will open up in 2020, which is why every train operator is rethinking and reassessing their strategic positioning in a market that is becoming significantly more competitive. “In this new environment, the customer experience, which includes both complimentary food and beverage services, as well as onboard sales, is becoming an even more important differentiator,” said Peter Rebelo Coelho, Head of Train Services Europe at the LSG Group. “With our in-depth knowledge in concept design and menu development, high-quality standards, logistical expertise and the corresponding support through an integrated IT platform, we are optimally positioned to service our customers in the best possible manner.”

At the trade fair (Stand 324 in Hall 1.1), the LSG Group will present its integrated approach, which involves the seamless interaction between its various expert brands: LSG Sky Chefs (Catering and Hospitality), Evertaste (Convenience Food) and SPIRIANT (Equipment). They will all show their concepts and ideas for the optimum customer experience aboard a train.

The food that will be sampled by guests at the stand is being developed by the LSG Group’s own chefs. In addition, equipment solutions for the crew and the presentation of the meals will be on display, as well as ideas on how augmented reality can be incorporated into the service concept of a train. Using concrete case studies about onboard sales, restaurant service, and operations, the train experts at the LSG Group will share their experience in developing customer-specific concepts and equipment, logistics, crew-management solutions, tailor-made catering and onboard-sales concepts.
