Acquisition of Gate Gourmet Brussels

Neu-Isenburg, Germany – LSG Sky Chefs, the world’s largest provider of quality in-flight catering, has signed an agreement to acquire the Gate Gourmet flight catering operation at Brussels Airport, Belgium.
LSG Sky Chefs has been present in the Belgium market since 2002, when it acquired the catering subsidiary from hub carrier Brussels Airlines, previously SN Brussels. Today, LSG Sky Chefs Belgium N.V. serves more than 30 international airlines and has recently started logistics services for trains. Through this transaction, the company will be able to add a number of interesting airline customers to its portfolio and will also continue to service other airports in the Benelux countries from this location.
“We will use a phased integration approach to be completed over the coming months, which will be discussed with the workers councils and the unions” said Silvio Canettoli, LSG Sky Chefs’ Regional Chief Operating Officer Europe. “This will help maintain a high quality of service for our airline customers and their passengers, which is of utmost importance to us.”
The contract details remain confidential and are subject to all necessary approvals.
