More than just the global leader in airline catering

LSG Sky Chefs has more than 70 years of experience bringing meals to the sky. We produce around 578 million meals a year for more than 300 airlines worldwide. But our capabilities don’t end there.

We (along with our joint-venture and other partners) also offer Buy-on-Board (BoB), menu design and a host of other innovative food-and-beverage options. Beyond that, we can design, develop and source almost everything an airline needs to serve their passengers’ needs inflight – tableware, trays, utensils, as well as pillows, blankets, amenity kits and more.

In fact, we can handle everything from concept creation and trend/market analysis to day-to-day logistical support — including demand forecasting, inventory control, transport management, quality oversight, security support and almost anything else needed to enhance the passenger’s experience.

At ground level, the LSG Group has applied its expertise in such adjacent markets as rail, schools, healthcare and other institutions, lounge services and even retail.

LSG Sky Chefs was formed in 1993, after the acquisition of Sky Chefs, American Airlines’ former catering subsidiary, by Lufthansa’s catering division, Lufthansa Service GmbH. We are a division of LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG, headquartered in Neu-Isenburg, Germany.
