LSG Sky Chefs Wins bmi Catering Business

Neu-Isenburg, Germany – LSG Sky Chefs, the world’s largest provider of in-flight services, has been awarded the short haul catering business for bmi, British Midland International.

bmi is the second largest airline at London Heathrow with ten per cent of slots and is the most punctual British carrier at the airport. The airline offers services within the UK, to Europe, the Middle East, Russia, CIS and Africa and carries approximately six million passengers per year.

The short haul in-flight catering business will be taken over by LSG Sky Chefs on September 1, 2011. This includes delivery of a complimentary Business Class and Economy catering product for short haul European flights, and a complimentary and paid for selection on flights to Ireland, Hanover and on domestic services. LSG Sky Chefs will provide inflight services to more than 280 departures per week.
