LSG Sky Chefs Response to Denver FDA Letter
Neu-Isenburg - As the world's largest provider of in-flight services it is LSG Sky Chefs' goal to provide our customers and the flying public with the highest quality food and services available. Every day we strive to meet or exceed the compliance requirements set for our industry and to safeguard the health and safety of our customers.
After a routine inspection by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), we were notified that our Denver facility did not meet all of the compliance standards set by the agency. Although there is no indication of any product quality issues or documented instances of foodborne illness from the Denver facility, we have taken immediate and aggressive steps to address the issues.
We have stepped up our testing processes and procedures, upgraded our environmental monitoring program, and implemented new cleaning schedules and facility repairs to ensure that there is no possible risk to passengers or our employees.
Food safety and security is a constant focus for our organization. There is nothing more important to us than the quality of our products and the safety of our consumers. Therefore, we will continue to take aggressive corrective action to bring the Denver facility back into full FDA compliance.
