LSG Sky Chefs signs joint venture agreement in Sofia, Bulgaria

Neu-Isenburg / Germany - LSG Sky Chefs, the world's largest provider of in-flight services, has signed a joint venture agreement with national flag carrier Bulgaria Air, in which the caterer holds a minority share.

Under the agreement, the joint venture partners will establish a catering facility at Sofia Airport with initial production volumes of 3,000 meals per day. Bulgaria Air decided to partner with an experienced and renowned caterer in order to fulfill international quality and production standards.

 "LSG Sky Chefs continues to expand into new markets with high growth potential," said Alfred Rigler, Chief Operating Officer for Africa, Eastern Europe, India and the Middle East.  "We are looking forward to working with Bulgaria Air in Sofia and are excited about our market entry in Bulgaria," he continued.
