LSG Sky Chefs awarded three ICQA Quality Awards

Neu-Isenburg, Germany -- LSG Sky Chefs announced today that three of its worldwide locations have won the 2008 IATA Catering Quality Assurance (ICQA) Award for the Americas region. The winners are:

 

Golden Award: LSG Sky Chefs -- São Paulo (GRU), Brazil  
Silver Award: LSG Sky Chefs -- Buenos Aires (EZE), Argentina
Bronze Award: LSG Sky Chefs -- La Guardia (LGA), New York, USA

 

The IATA Catering Quality Assurance program (ICQA) was launched in 2006. IATA partnered with Medina Quality Assurance Services to create the ICQA program and the ICQA Caterer Award, introduced in 2007, in order to promote best practices in the areas of food processing safety and food processing quality.

 

More than 220 catering facilities worldwide were audited for the 2008 program. ANA Catering Service at Narita International Airport was awarded with the Platinum Award for the best catering internationally. Besides this prize, caterers were selected by three regional categories (Americas, Asia/Pacific and Europe/Middle East/Africa).

 

Last year, LSG Sky Chefs' CSCs in Incheon, Korea (INC) and in La Guardia, New York (LGA) belonged to the list of winners.
