LSG Sky Chefs Gulf Solutions established in Bahrain
Neu-Isenburg, Germany -- LSG Sky Chefs announced today that LSG Sky Chefs Gulf Solutions WLL has been established as new joint venture in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The contract between LSG Sky Chefs Catering Logistics (LCL) and the Bahrain Maskati Group was signed during an official ceremony today.
Airline logistics operations are part of the Maskati Group activities and are led by Mr. Khalid H. Al Maskati, the group's Deputy Chairman and Managing Director.
The new company will provide supply chain management solutions including equipment procurement, warehousing, local and global distribution to airlines. Maskati will focus on warehousing and distribution, while LCL will handle material planning/forecasting, order management, concept development, IT and finance.
"This new venture is yet another milestone in the process of expanding our presence in the thriving Middle East region," said Jochen Müller, LSG Sky Chefs' Executive Board Member Sales and Solutions. "Our partnership with the Maskati Group gives us a clear competitive edge and we have great confidence in the further development of this trustful and highly valuable relationship," he concluded.
Mr. Khalid H. Al Maskati adds: "Today, we are happily sealing a long-lasting relationship with a well-known and respected international player in the aviation industry. Through this venture, the Maskati Group aims to contribute to the development of Bahrain as a logistics platform for the entire Middle East region.
