INTERNORGA Award for LSG Sky Chefs CEO Walter Gehl

Neu-Isenburg – Last night, Walter Gehl, CEO of LSG Sky Chefs’ parent company LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG, was presented with a very special award: The INTERNORGA honorary prize, which is given to persons, institutions or companies that have rendered special services to the INTERNORGA fair or related trades and industries. With approximately 1,000 exhibitors from 25 countries, INTERNORGA is Europe’s leading restaurant and catering trade fair and the biggest of its kind.

Celebrity Chef Cornelia Poletto offered the laudation and praised LSG Sky Chefs for mastering its day-to-day culinary and logistical challenges. She gave credit to Walter Gehl for having put the company back on track and, above all, she praised the 30,000 employees at LSG Sky Chefs for their continuous contribution to the well-being of passengers by preparing every third airline meal that is served on all planes around the globe.

In thanking the jury of INTERNORGA on behalf of the whole Executive Board and all LSG Sky Chefs employees, Walter Gehl drew an analogy to a ship that has survived a rough and stormy sea and which, because of the combined efforts of the team onboard, is now sailing well and at full speed again. “We feel honored and very pleased that our hard work is so highly appreciated and this award is yet another incentive to continue our along our path to success,” he concluded.
