Repositioning of Procurement at LSG Sky Chefs

Neu-Isenburg - LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG, which sells its products and services under the “LSG Sky Chefs” brand, has created a new position with worldwide responsibility for the Group’s procurement activities. Beate Jung joined the leading provider of airline catering and in-flight management in early September as Senior Vice President Procurement. She reports directly to Thomas Nagel, Executive Board Member Operations.

Beate Jung has a wealth of experience in materials management gathered while working in a variety of industries. Among others, she has held positions in the automotive industry, including General Motors and Mannesmann VDO, at Deutsche Bahn (Germany’s national rail), in medical technology and in telecommunications.

This new position was created in order to further standardize the procurement processes at LSG Sky Chefs’ 190 facilities worldwide and to realize efficiencies through the creation of synergies.


LSG Sky Chefs is the world’s largest provider of in-flight services. LSG Sky Chefs partners with 270 airlines worldwide and operates some 190 customer service centers in 47 countries, producing around 387 million airline meals a year. In 2006, the companies belonging to LSG Sky Chefs Group achieved consolidated revenues of € 2.3 billion.
