Category: 2007

LSG Sky Chefs has appointed Dale Easdon as Regional Chief Operating Officer for the United Kingdom following the retirement of Guenter Beer.

Mr Easdon takes over from Mr Beer who is retiring from the business after over 36 years with the company - the past two years in the UK where he has spearheaded a major restructuring of LSG Sky Chefs' UK operations.

Mr Easdon joins LSG Sky Chefs from Continental Airlines where, as a senior director based in Houston, Texas, he was responsible for in-flight services operations at 130 of the airline's locations around the world. Before joining Continental eight years ago, Mr Easdon, who comes from Scotland, worked in the UK for Alpha Airport Service catering company.

LSG Sky Chefs' Executive Board Member Operations Thomas Nagel said: "We are delighted that Dale has joined our organisation. He is an expert in our industry and brings experience from both the airline as well as the caterer perspective to our company."

Mr Nagel warmly praised Mr Beer's contribution to the success of LSG Sky Chefs and added: "Our sincere thanks go to Guenter for his enormous loyalty and major contributions to our company's development."

Mr Beer has held a host of important management roles around the world including assignments in Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Korea and the United Kingdom where he has been responsible for re-organising LSG Sky Chefs' UK operations.

Mr Easdon said: "I've had a marvellous time working in America but am extremely pleased to be returning to work in the UK. LSG Sky Chefs is the major player in the airline catering in-dustry and I'm looking forward to the exciting challenge of developing business opportunities in the UK market."
