Maersk Air awards new contract to LSG Sky Chefs

Market position strengthened in Denmark

COPENHAGEN - LSG Sky Chefs has been awarded the catering business of Maersk Air A/S in Copenhagen and Billund, Denmark. The new business contract will take effect on July 1, 2005 and runs over a period of three to five years. It covers an average of 270 weekly Maersk flights out of these two locations.

Maersk, the second-largest airline in Denmark, operates scheduled and charter flights within Europe. On scheduled flights, which amount to almost 80 percent of Maersk's traffic, traditional meals are offered in "Business Class" and Buy-on-Board in Economy. On charter flights, Maersk provides complimentary cold meals, Buy-on-Board beverages and duty-free retail. The catering supplies are return-catered from both Copenhagen and Billund.
