LSG Sky Chefs appoints Alfred Rigler as Regional COO Latin America

 

NEU-ISENBURG/SAO PAOLO - LSG Sky Chefs has appointed Alfred Rigler, one of the company's most experienced executives, as Regional COO Latin America, effective December 1, 2005. The region includes Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Most of the regions' administration is based in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

Rigler joined LSG Sky Chefs in 1995 with Lufthansa's decision to transfer its Inflight service department, where he had been employed since 1990. He has been leading the department since 1998 and was appointed Managing Director of the newly founded In-Flight Management Solutions GmbH in 2004.

Walter Gehl, CEO of LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG, Neu-Isenburg, said: "We are delighted that Alfred Rigler has agreed to take over this challenging task. His insight and expertise is an asset to the whole region."

The Latin America region comprises 48 units in 22 different countries. Roughly 2,060 employees have compassed revenues of euro 123 m in 2004.
